Yummy and really amazing food available. the location seems great, being close to Spain, the city center, and Mojacar. Plus, it's right across from the church. 🏰.

The staff were so cool and made us feel welcome. The food in the restaurant was lit, especially on pintxo night with free bites. The rooms had mad views of the castle and the mountains. Plus, they sorted us with a trip to the dope cave with wall paintings. Best vacay ever, 10/10!
Only thing, we wished they had a sick pool or a rooftop party area for us young party animals. It would have taken our stay to another level.

The food in the restaurant was mind-blowing, loved the pintxo night with free tapas. The friendly staff made us feel super welcome, even with our limited Spanish. The high-quality bathroom towels and delicious shower gel were a pleasant surprise. The hotel's location near the castle and Moorish fountains was jaw-dropping. They even arranged a special opening of the cave with wall paintings. The views from the front bedrooms were absolutely stunning. The rustic and cosy atmosphere of the hotel was a delight. The Halloween decorations were a fun touch. The nearby cave with ancient inscriptions was a must-see. The breathtaking castle nearby had Game of Thrones vibes. The owners were so accommodating, inviting us to their other hotel with exotic birds and stunning views. Can't wait to come back and potentially stay in one of their log cabins for Christmas. The local residents arriving at the hotel also provided great entertainment. The staff were so friendly and helpful, even without English. The well-maintained property had lots of character. Best breakfast in Spain, with warm tostadas served immediately. WiFi had a small issue, but it didn't impact our stay. Would happily stay again.

We recently stayed at Hotel Velad for a weekend getaway. The hotel's location offered stunning mountain views and was just a short walk from the charming village. The rustic and cosy atmosphere of the hotel made us feel right at home. Our spacious room provided great value for money. The restaurant served delicious food with generous portions, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Halloween celebrations were a fun touch, and we enjoyed exploring the nearby cave with ancient inscriptions. The breathtaking castle nearby added to the enchanting experience. The owners even invited us to their other hotel, which had exotic birds, porcupines, horses, and amazing views. We are already considering a Christmas stay in one of their log cabins. We can't wait to return!
We do recommend this hotel.

The rooms at Hotel Velad are absolutely charming with traditional decor and cozy balconies. The views of the mountains or the white village of Velez-Blanco are simply breathtaking. Each room has its own unique character and rustic atmosphere, making it feel like a true escape. The private bathrooms are well-appointed and the tile/marble floors add a touch of elegance. as a backpacker, I felt completely immersed in the local ambiance and couldn't have asked for a more delightful stay.
I personally found the lack of air conditioning in the twin room a bit inconvenient. However, I understand that some guests might enjoy the authentic experience of staying in a room with natural ventilation.
